My Drift Strategy.
I've always wanted to visit New York, but I have never been able to. For this little experiment I decided to go to sight seeing in Manhattan without leaving the Milwaukee County. I named this experiment, Pictures of A City, after a song by King Crimson. I went on google maps and typed in the Manhattan, New York and selected some interesting sights, such as Time Square, Madison Square Garden, and the Empire State Building. I then looked up another map, I typed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The reason I did this is because I know that if you type in the name of a city in Google Maps it will show you the center of the city. Originally I was only going to take pictures of land marks in Manhattan, but I thought it would be more interesting if I also took pictures and sound recordings of interesting locations in Milwaukee. Instead of getting too technical and complex with my map, I went with a simple approach; every time I crossed a street in Milwaukee, I crossed a street on the map of Manhattan. There were obvious differences in the city structure, but I think I came out with some interesting results. Stay tuned for sound recordings and pictures of Manhattan, brought to you by Milwaukee!
